Seef District, July 14, 2008: Innovation and a quest for new enterprise won the day at the Zain Dream Project's third awards selection when 22 year old Nawaf Saeed Hussain was selected for his dream of manufacturing a high-tech indoor digital allocator. The award ceremony took place at (add venue) in the presence of Zain Bahrain management and friends and supporters of Nawaf Hussain & board of trustees. "We are delighted to announce that Nawaf and his team are winners of the third Zain Dream award – his NDF indoor digital allocator represents a keen sense of innovation and is powered by the interaction of youth and technology," said Ebrahim Bashmi of the panel of judges who pick the Zain dream winner every month. According to Nawaf, the award is recognition of "the Spirit of Young Bahrain and of inspired Bahrainis who are in a perpetual pursuit of Innovation and Entrepreneurship." "We see the institution of the Zain Dream award by the company as a tremendous boost to young people in the Kingdom whose aspirations have received a great push forward. The system strips away bureaucracy and creates a direct channel between the dreamer and the facilitator, which is Zain Bahrain," he said. With the prize cheque, Nawaf hopes to fine-tune his innovation which essentially serves as a tracking device for users and products that will simplify the whole experience of touring shopping malls, tourism sites and at the work place. Zain Bahrain General Manager Mohammed Zainalabedin who gave Nawaf his award said he was happy with the tremendous response generated by the project. "Obviously the appeal of the project is that it offers every person a direct line of communication with Zain Bahrain in fulfilling a dream," he said, "What is particularly promising is that we seem to have unlocked a rich treasure trove of projects and concepts that will improve life and give back to the community – exactly as we are always trying to do through our CSR projects." Explaining his NDF project, Nawaf said proudly, "The device is an elegantly designed handheld device, with attention paid to ergonomics, portability and overall comfort. It supports communication with other users of the device, provides a 3D view of the building's floors. In addition, it also offers advertising space that will surely make it an effective marketing tool and element, and all of this functionality is presented to the user via a simple yet effective graphical user interface that aims to be user friendly. All of these simple but luxurious features, all you have to do is walk into a NDF supported building and have a NDF device with you and your family. Then you are set for a fast, safe, and luxurious experience. Alternatively, the system can be deployed at the work place, as it can play a significant role in monitoring vital personnel and items, providing site security, guidance, and job assigning." The "Dreams come true with Zain" campaign selects one winner each month for the whole of 2008 through a distinguished Board of Trustees to help realize a dream or project that complies with Zain (Bahrain)'s CSR objectives of education, youth empowerment and helping people with special needs. People can drop a brief summary of their dream into boxes provided for the purpose at Zain Experience Shops throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain or log on to www.bh.zain.com to submit applications.
