Zain Bahrain Supports the Bahraini Association for Mental Retardation

Zain Bahrain has always pushed for greater rights for the public – greater technology choices, greater access to electronic educational tools, better facilities for people with special-needs and youth empowerment through support of sports and educational events. It focuses around three key areas that have always been at the heart of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives – youth empowerment through education, sports and a healthy lifestyle and caring for individuals with special needs. With its main focus on caring for individuals with special needs, Zain Bahrain continues its support to The Bahraini Mental Association for Mental Retardation, as it has undergone many activities and sponsorships in order to support its centers for people with special needs. The centers include Al Wafa Center, Al Rashad Center and Youth Club for Autism. During a visit by a Zain Bahrain team led by General Manager Mohammed Zainalabeddin and Corporate Communications Manager Samya Hussain, a donation of BD 3000 was handed over to the Chairperson of the Bahraini Association of Mental Retardation Ms. Farida Abdulrahman Al Moayad. Ms. Al Moayed thanked Zain Bahrain for its continuing and generous support and said the funds will be used to meet expenses at the institute and help those who come to the institute for assistance. "Zain Bahrain has a track record of assistance to the needy – we have consistently supported the Al Wafa Institute, the Al Rahma Centre, the Sneha Recreation Centre for Children with special needs and the Al Rahma Center," said Mohammed Zainalabeddin, "We believe that our work helps to give these people a better advantage in leading a richer and fuller life and become as productive as possible in society."
