Five young Bahraini women have been declared winners of the Zain Dream project for November, putting the focus firmly on women's efforts in the Kingdom to reach out and aspire for new levels of development. The team of 5 Bahraini women who are completing their studies at the University of Bahrain, made a stirring presentation of their project, the Women Association for Starting Investment (WASI) which will help women entrepreneurs to set up business by offering a unique cultural management program and showroom for unique women businesses. Said spokesperson Wafa Al Ansari, "We are five friends who have our educational background in business management and administration and from conversations with our friends and relatives, we realized that there was a great need for a facility that will help Bahraini women to tap their potential as businesswomen. We have a project study developed that will be an interface between women SME owners and the public and which will help women to develop their business. As always, funding was a sticking point and the Zain Dream cash award and recognition will serve as a shot in the arm for us to get going." The women won the Zain Dream award for November for the imaginative and meticulous detailing of their plan and the potential it shows for serving the community, said Dr. Fouad Shehab, President of the Zain Dream Campaign Board of Trustees. "This is a project that ticks all the boxes in terms of meeting the Zain CSR values," he said, "It is the work of young Bahrainis, it shows innovation and is committed to serving the community. It was unanimously voted the winner for November." That the award comes in time for the Bahrain Women's Day on December 1 is a bonus, commented Zain Bahrain General Manager Mohammed Zainalabedin, adding that Zain Bahrain is proud to stress on such developmental initiative brought about by 5 Bahraini women, who aim to serve and focus on women's progress in the Kingdom . "Women in Bahrain are respected as equal partners in the Kingdom's development and we are sure this award and the WASI project will help many to realize their dreams of financial independence and productivity," Zainalabedin said. The "Dreams come true with Zain" campaign selects one winner each month through a distinguished Board of Trustees to help realize a dream or project that complies with Zain Bahrain's CSR objectives of education, youth empowerment and development and helping people with special needs. People can drop a brief summary of their dream into boxes provided for the purpose at Zain Experience Shops and respected media publications throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain.
