Zain Bahrain Has Tournament Volleyball Fans Cheering

A local sporting club's efforts to pump up the sporting spirit on India's Republic Day has won Zain Bahrain's support and thrilled volleyball fans. The Zain Indo Bahrain Volleyball tournament was flagged off on January 26 at the Indian Club as part of the Indian community's Republic Day celebration. The finals will be held on Feb 6 when two qualifying teams from the 10 who signed up originally, will play off for the coveted title. The 10 Bahrain-based teams represent participating International players from India, Bahrain, other GCC countries, Nepal and the Philippines. The tournament will also see friendly matches for women's teams including players from India, Bahrain and Philippines. Entry to all the matches which take place at the Indian Club in Manama are free of charge. "Zain Bahrain is delighted to support this sporting community initiative," commented Corporate Communications Manager, Samya Hussain, "The expatriate community makes up a big sector of our customer base and are a key partner in Bahrain's development.
