THARAWAT TO BOARD THE FLAGSHIP ON NATIONAL CHARTER DAY PRESS RELEASE As part of its corporate social responsibility contributions, Tharawat Investment House “Tharawat”, the latest innovative Islamic investment house in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced that it will exclusively sponsor the 10th National Charter Anniversary marine festival. Tharawat emphasized that this initiative comes to highlight and in appreciation of the strong ties existing between the Leader and the people of Bahrain. The festival will be in the form of a marine fleet procession in which 40 engine-operated local dhows (Banoosh) will leave the Fishermen Pier in Muharraq in the morning of Saturday, 14th February 2009, National Charter Day. Participants will be from the various Governorates of Bahrain. Tharawat's Corporate Communications Director, Khalid Mohammed Al Khayat, has said: "Our sponsorship of this national occasion stems from our full support of our wise leadership and for the reformation scheme initiated by His Majesty the King in 2002, which scheme has resulted in many achievements and gains in the fields of politics, socio-economy, education and culture". "On behalf of Tharawat's Chief Executive Officer, Arif Mohammed Al Alawi, I take this opportunity to extend sincere congratulations and best wishes on this milestone national occasion to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Highness the Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, and the Crown Prince, His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and to the people of Bahrain" , Al Khayat added. This was also expressed in our exclusive sponsorship of the 2008 Hajj Awareness Campaign, which proved to be a great success. Our sponsorship of National Charter Day marine festival this year is intended to establish a consolidated principle of celebrating Bahrain's national occasions".
