BisB donates BD 30000 for Gazza Civilians

Dedicated to social solidarity principles and in response to the humanitarian and religious call, Bahrain Islamic Bank – the leading institution in the Islamic banking sector – announced yesterday its donation of BD 30000 (Thirty Thousand Dinars) to the under-siege people of Gazza in contribution to lessen their sufferings. In this context, Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Mohammad Deputy Chief Executive declared: "With this donation, BisB reassures the importance role of Islamic Banks in particular and the private sector in general in shouldering their social and spiritual responsibilities". Mr. Mohammad continued; "In light of current escalations in Gazza Strip that have affected all walks of life, the visit paid to Gazza by special BisB's delegation in support to Palestine people disclosed the range of suffering and showed grim and miserable at large. The delegation expressed their concerns regarding the suffering of Gazza residents due to the Zionist blockage, which necessitate such support". Mr. Mohammad stressed the pioneering role that BisB has been carrying in this regard in support of similar humanitarian issues in the Islamic and Arab world and since its inception, the bank safe no effort to support the humanitarian and Islamic issues. The Deputy Manager pointed out that: "BisB is always committed towards local and regional social responsibility and firmly supports the government's directives under the leadership of His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa The King of Bahrain and kind support of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, and the Crown Prince that urge private institutions and banks to provide support to needy people locally and abroad in order to maintain their responsibility.to society". Mr. Ibrahim added: "The support to Gazza residents will be arranged in coordination with Al-Eslah Society, the Islamic society and the Islamic Education Society who are in quest through their joint Charity Work Committees to provide food and support in coordination with the Relief Agency in Gazza. Mr. Mahmmad Ibrahim, the Deputy Manager of BisB concluded his statement: "We pray to Gazza residents who are under siege and request the Almighty to help them in living peaceful life hoping that the donation of BisB may at least minimize the hardships of the siege
