Zain (BAHRAIN) launches 'Earth Month' initiative

The need to protect the environment, reduce our carbon footprint and adopt a lifestyle that is environmentally friendly is once again in the forefront as the world celebrates Earth Day on April 23. Zain (Bahrain), which believes in making a difference to the community that it belongs to, is using Earth Day to kick off a month-long initiative that will encourage customers to think deeply about how their every action affects the environment. "Often, it's the small actions that add up to make a BIG difference," said Corporate Communications Manager Samya Hussein, "Starting today, we shall use a series of initiatives to make our customers more Earth-friendly." As a first step, Zain (Bahrain) will take forward its FARAH campaign to cut the use of plastic top-up cards and encourage customers to use paper e-vouchers instead. To track change, the company is calling upon customers to visit any of the Zain Experience Shops in 10 locations across Bahrain and drop off their plastic top-up cards. For every top-up card the customer will enter a draw with a chance to get free talk time. "We also want to reward eco-friendly behavior, so if customers are using paper vouchers already, they too can drop these off at any Zain Experience shop and they may hit the jackpot and get a refund on their winning voucher!" Samya said. Zain (Bahrain)'s Earth Month will run from April 23 to May 31.
